Picking a skillet is very important and you can’t go wrong with an All Clad Skillet. The only problem is narrowing down which one to purchase! Hopefully today I can help you out with that as I review several options that you have. I’ll talk about different prices you can expect to pay and even talk about the different reviews that others have given.
All clad cookware sets are usually incredibly expensive and so many people try to get around this by picking out a few choice items such as a skillet or specific pot that they use quite frequently; and I think that’s a great idea. It’s a good way to take advantage of the high quality bonded construction that comes with all-clad stainless without paying full set prices.
Of course, you can still expect to pay between $80 and $200 depending on the exact skillet you purchase but that’s better than spending $1,400 on an entire 12 or 14 piece set!
Today I’m going to discuss three specific skillets, namely:
- All-Clad Stainless French Skillet
- All-Clad Stainless-Steel Fry Pan
- All-Clad MC2 Nonstick Fry Pan
All-Clad Stainless French Skillet
At $80 a great general-purpose skillet that should meet most of your needs. It’s 13 inches and made out of 18/10 stainless steel with a magnetic stainless exterior and aluminum core. The handle is riveted for extra strength and should stay cool and comfortable while you cook. It’s oven safe up to 500°F and supposedly you can wash it in your dishwasher, but I still highly recommend you do your cleaning by hand. Out of 23 customer reviews I give it a solid 90% A- or 4 out of 5 stars.
All-Clad Stainless-Steel Fry Pan
At $118 this is a real powerhouse skillet. It’s 12 inches large and 2 inches deep which makes it a great size for frying. It has a classic sloped side as well, which comes in very useful for making things like eggs. Like most all clad stainless steal, it has a pure aluminum core that allows for even heat distribution. With 106 reviews, I give it a 98% A rating.
All-Clad MC2 Nonstick Fry Pan
For those of you who prefer a nonstick cooking surface, this $113 skillet should fit the bill. It has a classic sloped side and is 12 inches wide. It’s made out of a stainless steel interior with brushed aluminum exterior and an aluminum core. It has a layer of scratch resistant professional grade nonstick material that should serve you well. Out of 13 customer reviews I give it a solid 93% A.
So there you have three different choices when it comes to All Clad Skillet products. All clad does offer different sizes but these are some of the standard ones you’ll encounter and should give you a fairly accurate idea of what you can expect to pay no matter what you choose. Whether you spend a lot of time in your kitchen or just throw together a meal or two every once in a while, all clad will make your cooking experience magical.
