What if you don’t have that much money to spend, whats the best set to fit your needs? You’ve come to the right place because today I’m going to talk about three sets that are very inexpensively priced but still relatively good quality.
Today I’ll look at these cookware sets:
- Cuisinart Chef’s Classic Stainless-Steel 14-Piece Cookware Set
- Anolon Professional 12-Piece Nonstick Hard-Anodized Cookware Set
- KitchenAid Gourmet Essentials 12-Piece Nonstick Hard-Anodized Cookware Set
Cuisinart Chef’s Classic Stainless-Steel 14-Piece Cookware Set
At $147 this is a unique set because it is stainless steel, and it’s hard to find a good set of stainless steel cookware under $200 but I think we’ve hit the nail right on the head with this one. It comes with a 1-1/2 and 3-quart saucepans; 8-inch and 10-inch skillets; 4-quart saute; 9-quart stockpot; 7-3/4-inch and 9-1/2-inch steamer inserts; with lids. This set is a mirror polished 18/10 stainless steel set with an inner core aluminum that adds strength and gives it even heating. Out of 54 customer reviews, and 30 5 star out of 5 star reviews, I give this set and aggregate 93% A.
Anolon Professional 12-Piece Nonstick Hard-Anodized Cookware Set
At $180 this is a nice nonstick set. It comes with a 2 quart and a 3 quart lidded saucepan as well as a 4 quart and an 8 quart lidded stockpot, a 4 quart steamer insert, a 5 quart lidded sauté pan, and a 10 inch skillet. With 103 customer reviews I give it a 93% A Quality Score.
KitchenAid Gourmet Essentials 12-Piece Nonstick Hard-Anodized Cookware Set
Finally we look at this $165 nonstick cookware set by KitchenAid. It comes with a one, two, and 3 quart covered saucepan; as well as a 8 inch and a 10 inch skillet, and 8 quart covered stockpot, a 12 inch covered saute pan. These pieces are made of heavy gauge hard anodized aluminum with a scratch resistant nonstick surface. With 146 customer reviews, I give this a 97% A Quality Score, making it the clear winner out of these three choices.
Now we get to the heart of the matter; will these sets stand the test of time? That’s be $200 question, isn’t it? The answer is probably not. I have no doubt that you’ll get a good solid couple of years use out of these sets but for the long haul they probably won’t hold up all that well. The more carefully you care for them, the longer they will last. I definitely recommend hand washing every one of them carefully and not using hard utensils ever.
That being said, these are each very nice sets, and possibly the Best Cookware Sets Under $200. And it’s nice to have an option between stainless steel and nonstick, which is exactly what I’m giving you here today. If you don’t have much of a budget, then any one of these sets should give you a couple of years of good solid quality cooking.
