Capresso espresso machines are some of the finest machines on the market today and that’s not an exaggeration. Whether you enjoy a straight shot of espresso, cappuccino, or latte made from whole beans, ground beans, or pods you can find something exciting from Jura Capresso at all price ranges.
You don’t have to spend an arm an a leg for quality espresso coffee!
When most people thing of capresso they think high priced super automatic impressa machines with built in grinder, frother, tamp, filter, and maker all built into one.
While it’s true that Capresso is famous for those high end machines, they also offer a complete line of lower priced machines as well that all brew (via pump or steam power) a really good cup of espresso. It is true that a special gourmet stainless super automatic machine really adds to the “wow factor” of your kitchen, when it comes right down to it, what you really want is a quality cup of coffee and you can get one from Jura without breaking the bank.
What makes a great shot?
Some people think its all about the coffee beans (I prefer Illy beans myself). Others think it’s all about the machine (they think its not espresso unless it comes out of a jura capresso super automatic). Still others understand that it’s a blend of both the beans and the coffee maker that gives you that perfect cup of cappuccino. I agree with the last group. Get the right beans and the right coffee and espresso center and you simply can’t go wrong. So I thought I would run you through some popular capresso coffee makers to give you an idea of what options you have in this space.
Capresso 303.01 4-Cup Espresso and Cappuccino Machine
At $60 it will be hard to find a cheaper espresso & cappuccino machine from Jura Capresso. It has a coffee / steam selector and steam wand that acts as a milk frother but no pod adapter or coffee grinder. This is a good starter machine but not for the experienced who appreciate quality.
Capresso 121.01 Ultima Semi-Automatic Coffee and Espresso/Cappuccino Machine
At just under $300, I view this machine as a solid machine. While it doesn’t have as many accessories as the true automatics, it has enough to make your life easier. All you have to do is pour in your water and place the grounds in the right spot and then pull a lever. The machine will do the rest (including disposing of the used grounds). This is a really nice model that does a lot of things without the need to spend thousands on super automatics.
Jura-Capresso 13421 ENA4 Automatic Coffee and Espresso Center, Ristretto Black
At $750 this is a nice machine for brewing espresso without any thought. It has its own coffee grinders built right in so you don’t even have to bother with that. As far as an automatic machine goes, this is just about as slim as they get (most automatics are bulky and clunky looking and take up so much space that they stick out like a sore thumb – not this one). At the price it’s a great introduction to the higher end auto machines.
Jura-Capresso 13289 Impressa S7 Avantgarde Automatic Coffee and Espresso Center
Finally at $1,700 this is the big dog. The capresso impressa is the way it sounds…impressive! It is an automatic coffee and espresso center with integrated, solid-steel conical burr grinder, 18-bar power pump, 1250-watt stainless-steel lined ThermoBlock heating system, 2-step pre-infusion cycle, Dual Frother Plus and frothX PLUS system, 96-ounce removable water tank, Clearyl water-care system, and has continuous on or auto shut-off options. The jura-capresso impressa is quite a machine all the way around
So there you have a solid range of options from this fine company. As you can see, there really is an option for just about everyone and something to fit every level of cappuccino or latte enjoyment!
No matter what capresso espresso machine you ultimately decide to purchase and use, I’m sure that you’ll be amazed with this company, which is why I give this entire product line and brand a 5 out of 5 stars every time.
