A pampered chef cheese grater is a nice addition to any kitchen, whether you are a serious chef or just someone who likes to kick around the kitchen from time to time. They slice, they dice, they’ll handle parmesan cheese and chocolate, and everything in between.
Today I’m going to talk about several models that you have to choose from and say a few words on price options so that you know you’re getting the best bang for you buck. I’m going to take a look at the:

- Zyliss All Cheese Grater, Fine and Course Drum Set
Pampered Chef Cheese Rotary Grater
At $30 this is a little more expensive than most regular cheese graters on the market today. As the name suggests, it is a rotary greater with an extra large drum to prevent clogging. It has bidirectional blades so that you can turn them forward or backwards during grating. With only 7 customer reviews, I give it a 90% A-
The Pampered Chef Microplane Adjustable Grater 1105
At $33, this is not really a regular grater, but more a microplane grater. These things are used more for zesting oranges and things like that. So if you’re into zest, this may be the grater for you. It has stainless steel blades that are dishwasher safe and comes with a handle that’s pretty easy to grip. Again, for the price, you could buy like 2 or 3 regular microplane graters. I give it a 90% A- based on 2 customers ratings.
Zyliss All Cheese Grater, Fine and Course Drum Set
At $16, this is not a Pampered Chef model, but I wanted to throw it in as a comparison. It’s a rotary grater that has a drum that easily snaps out for easy cleaning. It also comes with a funnel that helps direct the grated items. It’s dishwasher safe and easy to keep clean and even easier to use. Based on 54 customer reviews, I give it an 85% B, but give it an additional 10% extra credit compared to the Pampered chef models.
If you do a lot of cooking, especially with lots of different cheeses, then having the right cookware gadgets is probably incredibly important to you. You need a grater that will work well, last long, and get the job done. Shredded cheese is a key ingredient to many meals, so you really want a grater that’s at least 4 out of 5 stars, don’t you?
So there you have it. I don’t know about other pampered chef products, but the Pampered Chef Cheese Grater seems to be massively over priced for the benefits you will receive. Take my advice and stay away from them, pick up a couple Zyliss models for the same price.
