Revere Ware Cookware is some of the most versatile and accessible in the world. They’re a great brand of cookware to outfit your kitchen with, and whether you spend a lot of time cooking, or just like to cook a little bit now and then, you’ll find exactly what you need with Revereware.
Today I’d like to give you a broad introduction to this brand, and point you in the right direction to find the exact pieces or sets that you’re looking for.
It’s hard to know where to start because this company makes such a broad range of cookware. A good way to break down the options is to categorize by material, and Revereware offers:
- Hard Anodized
- Stainless steel
- Nonstick aluminum
- Copper bottom
Just about every piece in their collection can be purchased in one of those four materials, but another way to break down the options is by type of pot or pan, namely:
- Saucepan
- Saute pans
- Skillets
- Stock pots
- Sets
- Tea Kettles
As you can see they offer quite a broad range of options, which is exactly what you want when picking out cookware for your kitchen!
Before we get into any greater detail I do want to say a few words on price because in my mind the products that Revere offer are often among the cheapest you’ll find out there yet the quality is absolutely amazing for the price. Whether you’re buying just one pot or pan or an entire set, you would be hard pressed to find cheaper housewares out there, especially of such great quality construction and high customer reviews.
You can find them in the regular department stores or online as well. Personally I like to use Amazon.com because they have a nice revere ware cookware selection of both heavy gauge copper, copper clad stainless steel, and nice rangetop cookware set at prices that are very competitive.
If I had to name one revere cookware set as my favorite, I would probably choose their main stainless steel cookware set. Even the saucepan with lid (quart saucepan) is nice in this set. I’ve just always been a fan of steel construction in my cookware, but copper bottoms are a close second in my book.
The only criticism that I’ve heard is that the newer Revere Ware is not quite as high a quality as the old stuff that they use to make. They seem to use slightly lighter metal these days, and that makes a difference. So you may want to search eBay for older used pieces because the old stuff really lasts forever.
There are many cookware brands out there to choose from but in my mind, few hold a candle to Revere Ware Cookware. They are the first company I’ve ever given a blanket 4 out of 5 stars and I don’t make that statement lightly.
