I’ve liked all the Saeco Espresso Machines I’ve ever used and when it comes to an espresso machine (either regular espresso coffee machines or super automatic espresso machines) it can sometimes be hard to find a good one with so many options out there and different products on the market.

Today I’d like to talk about my favorite Saeco coffee machines so that you can make gourmet coffee in the comfort of your own home without all the fuss and expense of going to the coffee shop and spending six dollars for every drink. I don’t know what it is about the wonderful aroma that comes from the vienna plus milk crema of a cappuccino, but I love it both hot and on ice and there’s something special about being able to whip one up at home whenever I want.

First let’s talk prices

Saeco are definitely some of the more expensive machines on the market, and especially their automatic espresso coffee machines. If you’re just getting into the world of home espresso then you may want to look at something a little bit cheaper. On the other hand they do offer some slightly cheaper models that hover around the $150 to $200 range and I will discuss them as well as the more expensive automatic machine lines.

Saeco 00385 Nina Bar Traditional Espresso Machine

At around $200 this is going to be just about the cheapest coffee maker model you can find from these guys. This stylish little machine that will make two shots of espresso at a time. It has both a removable water tank and a removable drip tray which is very important for keeping your unit clean and is something that many lower end models don’t feature. It also has a frothing device and a pod adapter for those of you who don’t like to use coffee beans and prefer pods instead. The finish is mostly black but it has a veneer of stainless steel which is more for decoration than anything else.

Saeco Aroma – Espresso Machine

Next on the list is the $300 aroma machine that is compact and completely encased in stainless. You’ll have no trouble make a great cup of espresso, cappuccino, or latte either with ground beans or pods. Of course it is pump powered and has a simple to use control panel. While this particular product doesn’t have many customer reviews, the half-dozen that I’ve seen have all rated five stars out of 5 stars.

Saeco Incanto Deluxe Automatic Espresso Machine, Stanless Steel

As we move up and prices, we come to these $900 super automatic machines and if you’ve done any research on super automatic espresso you know what an incredible deal this is, or is it? This has all the bells and whistles that you would expect from a super automatic and you really can’t go wrong with the price but a word of warning here; over half the people who have reviewed this discovered serious problems with the machine that caused them to break down fairly quickly so I would stay away from it if I were you.

Saeco 21103 Royal Professional Fully Automatic Espresso Machine

Finally at about $1,500, this is the granddaddy of the Saeco line. To me it looks less like an espresso maker and more like a coffee center like you would find in a coffee shop. It has a built-in grinder so all you have to do is add your beans and some water and it will grind them, dose them, tamp them, brew the coffee, and then discard the grounds. Yes it does everything but mow your lawn for you. All in all a decent machine for the price. Super automatic espresso coffee may be overkill for most people, but if it’s your cup of tea, err, coffee, than this machine may be right up your alley.

So there you have a snapshot of the different options that are available from this company and hopefully now you have a better idea of what to look for and what stay away from it comes to the major Saeco Espresso Machines. Choosing an espresso machine is a very personal matter so it’s best to shop around and find one that you feel comfortable with.
